If you have not seen the “Bad News Bears” (the original) please go rent it! It’s a great story about some underdogs that were a less than perfect team but came together to pull off something amazing with blood sweat and tears. Camaraderie is often portrayed but seldomly real… My dysfunctional “FAMILY” Darren Harper, Kurtis Colamonico, Luis Tolentino, Aquil Brathwaite, Manny Santiago and Andrew Pott have continuously shown heart beyond all odds to deliver and i commend them. “Bad News Bears” they may not be, but in the same sense of the flick they are here for good and a force to be acknowledged… “Bad News” for some perhaps, but “Bad meaning Good” news for others!

Here’s a couple photos that I’ve taken since Darren and I got back to LA from DC. It’s been a busy but fun week since we’ve been back. Here’s some of the things that the crews been up to…
Darren getting his hair did before heading back to the California.
Our flight got in from DC around 9 pm and Pott was already waiting at my house, ready to hit the bars haha.
The next day I woke Pott up and we headed out towards San Bernadino…
The next day we headed down to Venice Beach, there’s always some weirdos lurkin’
Here’s Darren enjoying the beach life before he started putting in some work.
Quick sweep job to clear the sand out of the way.
After Venice we hit one more spot in LA and Ronnie Creager came to meet up with us.
Yesterday we all met up in LA to film some stuff for the website. Haven even blessed us with an appearance!

Another day in DC…

Darren and I met up with a bunch of DC heads at a local park to warmup and film a clip for The Skateboard Mag called “The Sesh”. Here’s a photo of Darren with Kayo teammate Zach Lyons.
Here’s a photo of Darren setting up a fresh board courtesy of Pit Crew. His DGK package is en route to LA since we’ll be cruising back this Saturday.
After we skated the park for awhile Darren insisted that I try their local burger joint called 5 guys. He said it’s their equivalent to In-N-Out. It’s definitely different than In-N-Out but still hit the spot.
After a quick food stop we headed back to Pulaski, where we ended the day getting chased out by Park Police.

After we got off the subway on our way to Pulaski I looked up and saw the Pentagon so I figured I’d snap a quick shot…
Here’s Darren across the street from Pulaski, checking out the scene. Once we got there we dorked around for a little while until he figured out something to film… Luckily for us, he got his line just in time. Right after he landed it the park police showed up and we had to take off running. Famous video coming soon!
