I dedicate this “LABOR DAY” to my Famous skate team, you guys are some of the hardest working people I know. No one has gave you guys anything, yet your shining and smiling everyday. You guys are some of the most inspirational people I have been able to work with. It is not easy to maintain focus on your board under such adversity and still keep rising. I will be honored to sit besides you when we premiere the FM$ SK8 because I grinded with you every step of the way. For now just enjoy the day as i know you already are because we make something outta nothing daily. Happy Labor Day Spartans… HAUTE!

Fabian Alomar and Steven Cales are amazing individuals who’s influence on the skateboard culture has stood the test of time. Steven came over to the west coast from NYC and turn the skate industry on it’s side from his lingo to his hip hop demeanor to his amazing progressive skills. Fabian, a product of the streets of LA was doing the same thing when they met in the early 90’s. The two had a great run as professional skateboarders mixing it up with the best of them and traveling the world before both had a bit of a side track with the law. After some time in the system both are stronger and doing well, they are back in the mix with the skateboard/streetwear culture. “Bombing the System” is a documentary on the life of Fabian Alomar, it will feature some colorful commentary for Steven and a slew of close friends make sure to look for it in 2011. Here my 2 friends are pictured in some Famous gear i was honored to have them rock…Stay strong!

ALL STAR BALL GAME..WE WON

If  you have not seen the “Bad News Bears” (the original) please go rent it! It’s a great story about some underdogs that were a less than perfect team but came together to pull off something amazing with blood sweat and tears. Camaraderie is often portrayed but seldomly real… My dysfunctional “FAMILY” Darren Harper, Kurtis Colamonico, Luis Tolentino, Aquil Brathwaite, Manny Santiago and Andrew Pott have continuously shown heart beyond all odds to deliver and i commend them. “Bad News Bears” they may not be, but in the same sense of the flick they are here for good and a force to be acknowledged… “Bad News” for some perhaps, but “Bad meaning Good” news for others!
